Ball Point Junk: An Epic Fantasy

The Beginning

For hundreds of years, the humans and the Fae lived together on a somewhat tremulous relationship, but still in peace.

Recently, however, the greed of humankind increased, and they longed for the seemingly everlasting youth of the Fae. This greed swelled to a roiling hatred in the humans' breasts, a hatred that sparked a war, one of the worst that either of the races had ever seen.

Although there was scarcely a battle that the Fae did not win, the current ruler of the time, King Oberon, did not plan on the humans' resourcefulness, and the Land of Fae suffered for it. It is unclear exactly how the winning side lost its wealth, but many suspect traitors.

Desperate to save his land, King Oberon ordered all children too young for labor to be placed in the homes of human children. The mortal children could then be used as slaves. Not long after this form of domestic assault that the humans proposed a truce, in the hopes of that the soldiers might come home to their real children. Queen Titania, the wife of the shamed Oberon, accepted the truce, eager to end the entire war.

Far too soon after the royal couple breathed a sigh of relief that a new foe revealed herself. The Fairy Queen Mab challenged the two for the throne, and before they could straighten out the economical mess, they eagerly retired and left Mab bewildered on the throne.

This is the world that forced two small girls to be ripped from their homes and placed in a situation far, far worse then they could ever have imagined. Mix-ups such as these happen every day, but rarely do they make such an impact as this one would in years to come. The error in the King's judgment, added with the impatience of the furious Queen Mab, would become known to every living creature on that plane of existence, as well as a few on other planes, but not for years and years to come.

Welcome to my story.
